Will my new civic have CMBS (collision mitigation braking system)

its a 2.2 ES

go to around 1:50 in the video

All i can see on the honda web site is brake assist (BA)

CMBS is OK in an ideal situation but if your being tailgated and the car in front brakes you have to make a conscious decision of how hard to brake to avoid both front and rear collisions.

I can see a few rear enders with computer controlled auto braking.

That's the same with CMBS or not :confused:

CMBS gives the driver 2 warnings before preparing the driver for impact and applying the brakes - it cannot apply the brakes any harder than is physically possible - which a driver could do at any time. So I can't see CMBS being any more problematic for rear enders than normal braking.

Couldn't agree more, that's the way I see it (and why I haven't ordered it).

There's no substitute for early observation and awareness.
