Hi guys,
has anyone colour coded the chrome section of the Type S front grille (the chrome section) in NHB?

I have seen someone do it in blue and it looked nice.

I've got the grille, and considering colour coding it, but wondered if anyone had any photos.

Also - has anyone got any photos of it carbon wrapped?
I'm also considering doing that, but wanted to see what would look best.

thanks

Thanks for your replies guys.

I've decided to colour code in NHB.
that way if I decide to change I can simply carbon wrap over the top, as appose to the otherway round.

I'll post pics once it's done.

Finally had time to fit the grille.
Just in time - ready to visit family etc over the weekend.

Think being colour coded is a lot nicer on a NHB Civic. The chrome strip is just too bright and doesn't fit in, in my opinion.

MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone..!

Looks great mate!I've ordered a sports grille but don't know know what color to paint the chrome section.Chrome doesn't really blend well with Milano Red paintwork.
Was it easy to remove the chrome section so as to color code it ?

It's really easy to remove the chrome strip. It unscrews from the rear and come away for easy painting.

I got it from Honda. They've been reduced to £90 inc postage. I think a Honda Dealer is also selling for same price in ebay.

You could paint it milano red or crystal black, I think either will look good!

Was the grill easy to fit Danlat ? Did you do it yourself ?? Is it a one man job ?

Cheers.

I agree.
I'm all for people who want to do their car up to their own taste, but I'm not trying to make mine something it's not.
Where I live, you'd get unwanted hooded youth attention if you draw too much attention to your car.
I'm happy making the Civic stylish but suttle.
I won't be putting type r grilled or badges on it.

Thanks for your comments guys

Really easy to do,.
To change the grille, takes 20 mins or so.
Think there is a how 2. Yes its a 1 man job.

Did the colour code myself. It's only a small part, so not that difficult.

Exactly make your car unique but honest :) The type R badge is for type R's it's like people who badge up every BMW with M badges or sprinter vans as AMG's :) lols. The grill looks much nicer than the crystal grill and the black badge looks understated :)

Can I ask where you bought the paint & how much it was?

Did you also need to buy laquer?

Thinking of doing this to mine soon.
