I would also like to know the answer to this question pleaseWill the Astra speaker adapters fit right in or will need modifications?
They'll fit but you probably need to drill pilot holes into the door and use self taps to secure. My advice would be to scrap those awful plastic rings and use MDF spacer rings (cheap on ebay) as they provide much better sound deadening when combined with dynamat round the metal.I would also like to know the answer to this question please
What size would I need to get for the MDF spacer rings if I need what? Would I go by the diameter of the speakers? They'll fit but you probably need to drill pilot holes into the door and use self taps to secure. dablink, what TK saidYes 16.5cm or 6.5"
1) Yes, CSK head self tapping screws should do nicely. Smear the where the screws come out the other side of the door with sealant to prevent rust. Thanks for your replies guys.Final 2 questions:
1. With the MDF spacer rings, do I still have to drill holes to fix them to the door?(I can't see any holes around the spacer rings itself)
2. Also in regards to thickness of the spacer rings should I go for 12mm or 9mm?
Cheers

That's my plan. Ordered the speakers online, would get the spacers or rings cheaply. I just need to get a drill to make a hole in the door.Or you could save yourself an absolute shed load of money, buy all the speakers yourself and fit them in your spare time.
