Hi my type r was registered in November 07, I just enquired about some parts at my local steeler and they said my car is a 08 chassis number.

Does this affect the resale value in any way??? I'm not bothered as I'm not going to sell it but just curious

A car registered before it was built sounds a bit fishy my 09 plate FN2 is an 08 car which does happen, have a look at your VIN number and check it against here.

Not at all - my first Civic was registered at end Jan '08, so was a '57 reg, but because of the date of manufacture, was an '08 chassis also.

I wouldn't have thought this would have any effect on the resale.

Mine was registered in November 2006 but the VIN is 07. I think it's just the new MY being introduced before the end of the calender year.

Yea I'm not fussed about re-sale value as im keeping my car for a long time yet, my steeler just confused the hell out of me by mumbling a load of crap. The way I see it honda made no changes between the 07 and 08 models and it dont make any difference how you dress it up it was simply registered in 07 so it will sell for the same price as an 07??? Am I right???
