I've been reading around a little, and it seems that an upgrade to the brakes is a good idea - plus, although I've only had the car two days, but I've already noticed that the brakes aren't as good as they could be. So, my questions...

1) Would an upgrade of just the pads make any difference? If not, what else should I do? I don't want to spend too much if possible.

2) Do changes to the braking system count as the sort of mods that my insurance company needs to know about? Even if I just change the pads?

Thanks,

Dave.

Technically you should report it to your insurance company but really what are the chances of them finding out you've changed the pads? ;)

Pads, lines, grooved discs should give you a big improvement or if you have the cash, a BBK would be best :)

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably look in to just pads, lines and fluid if I go down this route. BBK seems a little overkill for me at the moment tbh ;-).
Yeeppp

Step 1 - pads, hoses, fluid

Step 2 - grooved disks

Step 3 - bbk (expensive)
