Hi all,
I have a crank no start issue with my 62 1.8 v-itec. Car was running fine, pulled up to the house and it just died? Battery is very good, new fuel pump and good pressure, checked the coils/plugs and they're sparking as god intended. Checked for broken cam chain and that's all good plus rpm on gauge when cranking? No warning lights or codes with professional scanner? Local garages won't touch the car and even my local tuning/diagnostics specialists says "nope, as there is no money in spending hours trouble shooting." I am going to have a go at pulse testing the injectors as I feel they might not be firing?
Does anyone have any ideas?
Where is the PGM-FI main relay on 9G, easy enough to find on 8G? How do you remove the injector fuse no 6 in engine fuse box, have never come across this design before and don't want to knacker it or the box... thought I might swap it with the A/C fuse to test. I could really do with some help as next step might be to scrap the car.... 10 months MOT, 113k and full Honda S/H plus £2000 spent last year on new cat/clutch/brakes/tyres!

no thumps on the dash or big potholes that might have triggered the fuel shut off?
guess you know where that is behind driver side dash

Been trying to find the inertia switch, just to tick it off the list. I thought the switch would kill the fuel pump as well? Where abouts under the dash? I have lower panel off.

if it's the same as the 8G it is under the triangle shaped trim at the end of the dash.
big button thingy to press until it clicks

My query was to confirm, just in case it was the inertia switch.

I've never seen reference to a 9G inertia so maybe it's handled differently

Some markets don't have an inertia switch on 9G? Will have a looksee when the rain and wind dies down, blowing a storm here! I live on a private lane with a small crossroad and an 'ickle hump, which most of our cars catch their sumps on if going too fast. I was hammering it a little. Our roads are sh1te here, one constantly trips the rear anti roll headrests in my CLK, I keep a coat hanger in the boot to reset them.

If you do find it please post it. I would like to know.

On the Gen8 its behind this panel, in the square hole. Gen9 is really just a refreshed Gen8 so have a look there.

Nope! Nuffin' there. I think the 9Gs are a bit of an enigma, seems to be very little info or people who know how they are stuck together? Stealer is as useful as a Chocolate teapot and specialists are very thin on the ground, certainly none in this area.

In the good old days we used to pull a plug then do a quick crank.

Spark ?
Smell fuel through the open plug hole ?

Seem to be going backwards as technology increases? Still trying to get my head around why "eco friendly" EVs don't have old fashioned window winders rather than cramming them full of needless electronics.... take the fecking bus!
