Hey,

Had my civic just over two weeks now, and every time I reverse out of my parking space, when the car has been stood for a while, and is cold, there is a loud creaking from the rear of the car.

It appears to occur mainly when in reverse, and disappears after a minute or two of driving ..... any ideas what this might be?

So it's not so much a fault, more an annoyance then I take it?

Didn't even have to mention mine to my dealer, they sorted it when it went in for it's first service.

I might drop my dealer an email, as I'm covered by warranty etc, and arrange for them to get done at my next service.

I have the exact same problem and my car is due a service and is still under warranty. I will see what they say regarding a fix.

Had the same issue but dealer sorted it for me.It's a known fault.

Thanks, I'll mention this in a few months when mine gets its annual service. Still in warranty, so hopefully won't be any issues.

Honda fix is just lube sprayed on the shocked struts, I did mine and has been fine since and took all of 5 minutes to do

Had the same thing earlier this week, dealer said there was a notice out to lube the struts.

After getting it done there is no more clucking/creaking when cold.
