I will sneak in here......

Not a CTR and end of July 08, but loving it.

Rattles a bit but I've solved one of them, trying to find the other!

A fantastic, much admired car!

Well, have only done 482 miles, but so far so good.

No rattles, noises, smells, chips etc.....

Not even been over 5k revs i dont think !! Nicely does it.

Just admiring glances from other motorists :)

Exactly 28 days and 1011 miles later - absolutely loving it.
Except for just this minute. Thought I'd beat a boy racer away from lights (last model astra revving it like mad at the lights). Lights changed I floored it, far too much wheelspin, VSA light went mad. Hmmm not happened before. Althougn not really done that in the wet until now. Usually though I can just floor it and VSA keeps things in check. Very strange.

I could have course caught him in 2nd once I got some traction but I don't tend to speed so opted not too. [smilie=cheeky-grin:

I have one rattle but just pump the stereo up. I'm of the opinion you can't buy more bang for your buck. Best car I've owned and hopefully will for a long time to come!

I know - first time I've ever had wheelspin away from the lights - suprised how gutted I felt as I don't normally care [smilie=cheeky-grin:
think it's the first time the VSA light has actually come on (but then it's been mostly dry since I bought her).
Oh well, as somebody once said good decisions come from experience, experience comes from bad decisions (or something similar anyway)...

58 plate type R GT

Had mine now for about a month, still running it in. So far passenger wing mirror packed up ( won't fold in when you press button ) -and got squeaky clutch pedal and intermittent squeaks from dash. Going into dealer this morning for new mirror and they will check the squeaks. Done about 600 miles!

Apart from this loving the car, and can't wait for a bit of the vtec when I have some more miles on the clock. Prefer the exhaust note on this car to the old EP3.

And it will be the last you own if you keep the "get away from the lights faster carry on up" Sorry mate...

but don't even bother with these guys, rise above it.

YOU know you have a fast car, don't need to prove it to these guys.
I just let em drive away, not interested in that nonsence.

2months on, and loving everytime I get into the car. It's due for its first service soon so will get some sikolene 5w40 put in the car. Got 54.5mpg the other day on the way to uni, pretty pleased and shocked I must admit. Can't wait to get some tints and other mods once winter passes by

picked mine up 1st september, done just over 2000 miles in it
i LOVE it, 21st birthday present was so chuffed to get it!
fitted a grill badge and got a few other little bits coming
gonna get the windows tinted
the only squeek i found was the passenger seat, but it mite be the roads near me and the speed i was doing lol
i did have a slight issue, the stearing coloum was damaged, took it to dealer, the arse of a parts manager said youve tampered with it (i had the car a week) and its not warrenty so its £70
but the sales guy and head manager there sorted it out for me
unfortuantly ive taken the 58 off though, private plate on there :)

I sort of hear you (only sort of though).

I didn't buy a CTR to pootle away from the lights every day. As I stated I don't exceed speed limits - I merely enjoy blasting up to whatever the speed limit is, then chilling out.

Your right about rising above it though :)

Sometimes my right foot controls the brain - as I say though it's always safe and legal!

To be fair it's not really the traffic light drag that I enjoy, its the flowing A roads where the car comes into its own!

I know what you mean. Its about enjoying the car and 'exploring' its capabilities. Not getting one over on somebody else.

It is very easy to spin the front wheels if you are not thinking.
I had to exit a petrol station into busy rush hour traffic last night. Was a bit over eager to make a quick getaway - result wheel spin
