Well Hello one and all.

I've been on here for around a month now. I picked up my new-to-me Honda Civic Type R in Championship White (Number 150/600) just a few days before Christmas 2014.

I have decided to keep this car as close to standard as possible. I have owned just a couple of cars, as I am only 25, and the last one I began to mod and just got tired of the expense of upgrading everything piece by piece. The Honda is a lovely car to drive and so far has been a pleasure to own.

Sadly, I don't have many photos as yet, but here's one for starters:

So far the plan is;

-Repair Front Bumper due to a scuff obtained in the work car park (bumper bought, needs fitting)
-Have front wing repaired due to stone chip poorly touched up by previous owner (booked in for 27th January 2015)
-Have rusty roof repaired by Honda under warranty bulletin.
-Refurb alloys in Championship White
-Replace Gear Gaiter (bought from Topgaiters, needs fitting)
-Refurb/Replace gear knob
-Full detail/paint correction and interior and engine bay clean.
-Replace rear bumper due to damage from previous owner

Then the car will be 100% mint again and I may end up looking for some other things to do.

Some pics of the damage to be repaired;

Stone chip, front wing;

Front bumper scuff;

Thanks for looking!

Cheers man. I'm looking forward to sorting out all the little niggles with the paintwork and then she'll be like a new car again!

Went to see Honda about the rusty roof thing. I'm just waiting on a call back but the body shop says it probably will be approved and will have a full roof spray and new mouldings - which is rather lovely :)

Fair enough. I was told somewhere that these were limited to a run of 600..

Though I'm far too busy with a dissertation to look it up properly :/

Will look 1000 times better when all sorted, nice motor bud
Cheers buddy.

In for paint on tuesday (Wing), Service on the 9th Feb and with any luck, more paint (roof) not long after. Then the wheels in the nicer Spring weather and a good old clean inside and out.

Until then, I just can't get enough of driving it!

Cheers man. I can be very very particular about things like that :p
Quality wise, I am much happier with this one vs the OEM.

Just a little update; because why not!

Had this little treat delivered to me last night by James @ Hendy Performance (Hand delivered in his DC2 no less!). Exceptional service from the guys there.

I am also making ground on my rusty roof claim with Honda UK, after being jerked around by the closing Hendy Body guys. So hopefully that will be the rusty roof issue sorted, as well as the wing done. Will fit my new front bumper soon as well and then get the machine polish and waxes out ready for the spring/summer!

Happy days!

Teeny little update....

Picked the car up on Saturday after having the rusty roof issue sorted by (not my most local) Honda dealership. I went in a fortnight ago and on the first attempt came out with a few imperfections in the paint. So I rejected the work and asked them to do it again, which they did do.

Glad to have this issue sorted and I am pleased with the overall result. I'm just going to wait a week or so until I have some reliable dry weather and then wax and seal it in it's current condition.

There are two small imperfections in the roof gullies, but these aren't really noticeable so I am happy with the overall finish. Only negative thus far has been that it had to be done twice. Though the dealer did put in £60 of fuel...

While it was in, it also had a spot of rust under the door vinyl (near side) sorted. So I'm happy with that.

The car did come back with 16 miles added to the odometer and I was told it was transported at all times so I will be investigating that further with Honda.

But for now, I just need to fit my new front bumper upper and then get and fit a new rear and it will be good as new (with a wheel refurb!) It's never ending really!!

Pics to follow later (assuming the rain stays off for a while)

Cheers fella! It does seem a bit of a relief to have it done considering it took most of 2 months to get it in somewhere due to the local main dealer closing their body shop!
