Those of you who have dented the rear tailgate (plastic section) just above bumper.

A simple fix is to heat the panel up with hot air gun being careful not to burn the paint and then sliding a spatula or thin tool through the lower lip between plastic panel and inner skin and carefully massage the dent out..

Leave the tool in place until section has cooled then remove.. Dent all gone 

Could that hot air gun be a hairdryer?

I've had my Type R for three days and one of the kids resident at my home (I'm a social worker), hit it with a golf club! It's only a minor dent but I know it's there and I almost cry every time I see it!

Dent on boot lid

Peter,

Sorry for late reply.. no it has to be a hot air gun.. you could give a hairdryer a go its probably safer if your new to heating plastic therefore wont melt it away and blister paint!
