How can i disable the auto render when i use the add image button i would like the picture just to get the img tags without having the image displayed while i am still typing.

or do i have to manually type out the codes?

I expect that is what he is doing.
If so, it will auto-render, as far as I know it is not possible to avoid this.

However, if you go advanced and use the paper clip to upload the pics here, then you can insert the images without them auto-rendering.

I always do it manually too.

Just remember when posting thumbnails (From ImageShack etc) to use [ imglink]

Never paid attention to that.

It disables the autorender on BB code. just hope it remembers my choice on modes.

Fixed by switching the Message Editor Interface mode from enhanced to standard.
