Carwow have found me offers on the 1.5 with cvt and sat nav in orchid white for up to 17.2% off list price, for cash from main dealers.

Too early in the year for me at the moment (cash flow), but could be looking again end of summer.

0% APR pcp over 2 years on the Jazz 1.3 at the moment but not sure about the 1.5 but this is very basic on spec as based on a SE but priced around the same as a 1.3 EX

Thanks for info'. For me, being a bit old fashioned, choose to own the car so later this year when should have the readies, will be looking at discounts again. If non forthcoming will hangfire, or possibly a demonstrator (will have to be the 1.5)

take the PCP with 0% and discount then you have 2 years to pay off what you owe and still costs you no more, I have already reduced my balloon payment on the FK8 Type R from £14k to £10k in 2 months and should have this paid around Christmas without effecting our savings or what we save a month. Make sure you do a carwow for the best price and get the dealer to match it. Mansfield have just beaten the carwow price I obtained for the Wife's Civic Sport Plus we collect next week ;)

I sat in a 1.5 Jazz Sport for a while at my while-you-wait service the other week.

I so much wanted to like it but I just couldn't.

Dash is too plain/uninteresting and with no raised centre console, gearstick area, it is a big backward step from the Civic for me.

I won't mention the front seat exposed bolts ala MY13 Civic. I'm reliably informed that older Jazz models do have plastic bolt covers ala MY12 Civics.

Shame, but if it does'nt tick the boxes always going to be a non starter. Yet to sit in one and yes the civic's are a hard act to follow.

New Civic would do it for me but I know too big/wide for the other half who would drive it more than I would. Not having owned the 9 gen, should the jazz be a dissapointment, perhaps going to be a late model 9 gen SR auto.

I have no issues with the outside. Just the bit you see when driving. Plus, no climate control, privacy glass or rear camera.

If they release a 1.5 EX I'll have another look.

Still, my 2013 9G Auto only has 16k on the clock, is garaged, so no rush to change.

if the 1.5 and been a EX and had heated seats we would not have bought the Civic Sport Plus to be fair as my wife preferred the Jazz on size as we don't need a large car but did not like the lack of luxury. Having said that if it had the same 180BHP engine and sporty seats etc I suspect it would sell very well on some of the younger market with the right body kit trims

Recollect when the 8 gen was young some forum members were getting their civics re-trimmed in leather. Would add some luxury to a jazz spec (if leather's on the wish list).

Suppose it would add further still to the not inconsiderable asking price of the standard car (although re trim cost could be seen as offset if a discount on the list price was secured). Get rear/side windows tinted and it starts to sound more promising (imo).

Probably worth waiting a while longer if it's appropriate for an ex to emerge.

It's a shame Honda don't, as far as I know, ask people what they would like to see.

They seem to go their own way via guesswork.

I believe the jazz in the UK is aimed at the aging population, primarily for the motorability schemes ran by the UK government.
Cheap no thrills motoring..
Think they look outside, but very 90s North Korean on the inside..

Don't think initially they were (remember when they came out seeing a road test on tv where the driver was presenting it as a bright lively alternative to more mainstream cars)

Thing is they were never cheap or Honda interested in discounting, hence buyers tended to become those with a bit more disposable income, and of course downsizing from the 7 gen 'bread van' civics - namely the older generation.

As with the previous model si jazz, With the 1.5 they've made (some) attempt to redirect it's appeal to a younger audience.

Why they think oldies want basic simple slab dashes beats me.

I want the latest trend of snazzy displays and features.

If I had my way the Connect unit would display loads of audio, climate, trip and fuel info as per the Civic iMid, but all in one go as the 7" screen could display it all, or most of it.

Then have the Satnav on the top of the dash ala BMW, Audi, Merc, etc. That's where you need it. Not buried down inside.
