Hi All,

I'd like to know if it's possible to change the Information Display to show current MPG in a figure rather than the rising and falling 0-100MPG status bar. Is this possible? I've pressed almost every button I can find!

Thanks

You talking about the centre panel on to or the screen a
On the head unit
My 9g face lift model shows it as a figure and sliding scale for current journey
As for actual instant fuel economy dont even bother looking at that as it's up and down that much you wont be looking at the road ahead

I dont think you can turn off the bargraph but have you tried holding in the i button on the steering wheel and then cycling through the options. I vaguely remember instantaneous MPG being one of the options although I might be wrong

I cant see it being particularly useful though, the bargraph is easier to see in the corner of your eye, rather than having to interpret a number

Hi - thanks both. I'm referring to the Centre Panel screen, where the reversing camera shows up. I don't have one of your fancy headunits!

All I see now if I cycle to that menu is a barograph and remaining miles. But I'd be more interested in an average number displayed.

Didn't know you could hold it in. I've been tapping it through the four different menus. I'll give that a go - thanks!

EDIT: Looked at the Manual HERE and on page 120 it explains it. As you two described.

Well, it did't work! My manual doesn't match up to that one linked either. Holding the I button doesn't do anything more than switch screens.

Back to the drawing board! You must be able to do it. Maybe it works in conjunction with the trips? Hmm.

I can display average MPG as a figure but the instant MPG is the bar graph.

Also, if you have a MY12 you need to be stationary with the handbrake on to change some iMid displays.

As someone up thread said, an instant MPG readout would be about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. It would be changing so quick, you wouldn't be able to read it. Perhaps Honda thought of that.:grin2:
I can display average MPG per trip, and perhaps that's what patchmau5 means.

Well I took it back to the dealer for something else and when I took it back it had the Trip's MPG displayed :p Not sure what I was missing but it has something to do with setting the trip.

Will take some fiddling about with but for now I'm happy!

Resetting the trip, easily, is that little joystick looking thing behind the wiper stalk. It presses and rotates.

When you press it, the speedo display moves from trip A to trip B for whichever you want to initialise.

I've got trip A as a manual reset and trip B to auto initialise with a fuel topup.

Woah, I had no idea this was there! You'd think with all the other media buttons and interface they would just bundle it in somewhere else.

Thanks, I'll have more digging around now. Still don't know why the manual I have is different to the one linked. It's mostly the same but the pages don't match. Maybe they redid it for the later models.
