you can remove it but be aware of why it was there in the first place.

do i need this "foil" above exhaust?

I had exhaust like rattle every time start stop engine, quite loud, i heard nothing when driving, mild rattling at idle. Checked today, it appeared to be "foil" thats above the exhaust

holes bigger than washers...
anyway, managed to "secure" front from touching exhaust, but rear bolt just broke whilst undoing, and cant find a way to attach the rear of that foil.

Do I need that "foil"? Why is it there? Can I rip that foil off completely?
