do i need this "foil" above exhaust?
Hi
I had exhaust like rattle every time start stop engine, quite loud, i heard nothing when driving, mild rattling at idle. Checked today, it appeared to be "foil" thats above the exhaust

holes bigger than washers...
anyway, managed to "secure" front from touching exhaust, but rear bolt just broke whilst undoing, and cant find a way to attach the rear of that foil.

Do I need that "foil"? Why is it there? Can I rip that foil off completely?

temporary...
added square furniture (?) spacers with 2 holes instead of original spacers under 2 remaining bolts, connected them with zip cable ties

front secured 😂
rear one: found a 2 holes on the center side closest to the shield at around the middle of the heat shields length
zip ties through

connected several zip ties together, wrapped around with aluminium foil, got it on top of exhaust (extra layers of aliuminium foil on zip ties just above the exhaust), connected zip tie chain to the front zip tie between 2 bolts

turned the engine on - no more noise.
might last for a while, i need fix it properly.
final question: is the heatshield aliuminium?
