Wonderd if you sold the DBA4000 300mm discs to fit a dc5 brembo front, think id match them with DS2500 pads?

If you have these could i get a price? Cheers

Hi James, i don't have a supplier for those particular discs i'm afraid.

The DS2500's are available and only £116.40 inc vat.

Let me know if i can help with the pads.

You don't want DC5 disks.
You need 300mm S2000 disks to go with the DC5 calipers.
DC5 pads though.

For some reason, i never clicked that it wasn't for an Integra

But yes, you don't want Integra discs, and the few DC5 setups we've fitted with S2 discs have also required modifications to either pads or carriers to allow for the difference in offset.

Caliper Centerline is about 1mm too far out.
Theres about 1mm disk/pad clearance either side with the pistons compressed.
The inside pad does bind for 50 miles or so which isn't ideal...but can be done.
Can you PM a price and how you fix the issue ?

We never actually 'fixed' the issues experienced. One customer said it was common to modify the pads, which we weren't particularly happy doing but did so for the customer.

The other instance, the customer took the carrier away and had just over 1mm machined off the faces to alow the caliper to sit slightly more in towards the hub.

I don't know whether this has helped, sorry :)

Ok thanks Rich
Would be easier to skim 0.5mm off the mounting arms or shim the disk.
Can you get 0.5~1mm full plate stainless shims that would fit between disk and hub ?
That would work and save a lot of messing around.

could you recommend a disc for me then, mostly road but the occasional track day say 1-2times . I thought the s2000 discs were 300mm? And the integra were 320mm?
Id probably travel up to you guys to fit this kit and put the discs and pads on.
114 for the front set?
How much for rear bearing in mind im keeping the rear standard so it will be 2.2 standard caliper on rear?

Thanks

I was looking on motosport yesterday and they said sold separatly i see the height is much lower so the s2000 height must be 40 to fit.
I hope i dont get fitting problems with this, and i found out that i have no splash guard for some reason so that wont be the problem. Its the alloys im worried about hopefully if i get the rotas 17" get the right et and ofset to make it fit

We thought about doing that as we keep in stock slim spacers, but you would have to machine down the diameter to fit the centre bore of the disc. We had a brief word with a local machine shop and they seemed happy enough to sort something. We just don't get a lot of call for them.

I think Relic has answered your question above but i can source EBC items in S2000 fitment that would do the job.

That's the price on the front Ferodo's and the rears i keep in at £92.50 inc VAT. Match those with some more EBC's or if preferred your DBA's.

well i put a thread up in here and thats what i got back, i dont mind not going with them its just i want a disc that will do fast road and a survive a track day. But im getting the brembos due to getting the stage 2 map from celtic but then upgrading to the stage 3 which is 230bhp when i have the money for the new turbo.
As you would have better knowledge than i, as long as its a good disc and will keep the track day and fast road im happy :)

Could you find out a price for 0.5mm shims with about a 5mm offset from the center bore and outside hub diameter ?
Little on the thin side but should be enough to stop the binding with new pads which is the main issue.

Must be able to sell a few if you are the only place making them if people knew you had them ?

Ok, in that case some prices for the EBC, available in either 'Ultimax' or 'Dimpled and Grooved' are s2000 fronts @ £191.50 and rears @ 110.00 inc VAT.

How does that compare with the DBA's?

It doesn't really work out cost effective to just do a set, that's the only problem. We'd have to bulk buy and machine a good few pairs to get a decent price and we'd be struggling to find homes for them i'm sure.

I think we decided taking a little off the brackets was the best bet. Is there anyone handy with a lathe near you?

FRS without springs, but using bolts in the front and a maximum of 4 shims in the back would be £224.00 inc labour, parts and VAT. It could well be less than that though as we usually only use 2 shims.

Let me know when you're ready with the kit, and i can advise the possible modifications then.

Is that £184 for the Eibach diesel Pro kit? That's our price including next day shipping. We charge £174.00 for the springs and just £10.00 for UPS' 24 hour courier.

Hope that makes sense.
