Howdoo all,

Been suffering from Betty Swollocks due to my a/c freqently dropping out.

I had it regassed a few months ago hoping it would cure it.

Just checked the little looking glass inside the inner wing and it deffo still has green fluid in it...so assume the system hasn't split open.

When I switch it on..I feel a slight jolt coming from the bulkhead...but don't know whether its just the cooling fans tripping ( they still come on when a/c switched on...even though no cool air coming through ).

I could coax it into action by cycling pressing the auto & demist buttons, and when it came on you would know because it kicked out a real pongy fridge smell. But over the last few days its not delivering an an ounce of chill no matter how many times I switch it on & off.

I've picked up on a few accord/civic posts suggesting a fault clutch engaging relay.
I've looked under the hood and can find 3 relays with the icicle symbol on it.

One is in a little fusebox which is iclcle/fan image, and there are two more in the main fusebox ( another with iclcle/fan and one with icicle/summut pressumably meaning compressor )

Firstly, dunno why there are two fan relays ?? , secondly I noticed the two main box relays are Denso 156700-2680 units...but the fan relay is marked "1G-27" and the compressor relay is "1F-27"
Could these imply a different rating etc ???
More importantly could I attempt to swap them over to see the effects ???

All help appreciated, but pardon me for now as I'm off for a shower:umbrella:

The air con relay failed on my car. The dealer fixed it and regassed the air con for @£100.

The symptoms were a flat battery. When the car was started off jump leads it discharged gas from some sort of relief valve.

It has been fine for the 6 months since the relay was replaced.

Well......thanks for the floods of advice ( only jokin lol )

In any case this post may serve as a help to somebody in the future.

Today I swapped out the fan relay for the suspected bust A/C clutch relay and...hey presto...perfectly working a/c chilled air each time I pressed the a/c button.

Now all I need to do is source an ebay relay type Denso 156700-2680 and all should be squared up nicely.

My Air-con suddenly failed yesterday, phoned my dealer got it booked in for 9am this morning.
They told me over the phone it would probably want re-gassing.
Gas was fine but a relay had failed, part number H39794SDAA05.
Cost £35.64 fitted, A very fast service from Stewart Graham Honda in Crewe.
Just a shame it wasn't covered by their used car warranty.
