Hi. Just after a bit of advice. Rear door on my 06 civic has a long patch of rust at the bottom end. It's staring to show on the outside but is fairly bad on the inside of the panel but confined to the bottom only from what I can see. I'm thinking of sanding down as much as possible and using filler and then sanding down again. Then some treatment of some type. It's a temporary car so not too fussed on looks etc but keen to repair as best as possible. Not sure if anything can be done on the outside. Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

What about just swapping the door over? Fairly cheap at a scrappy and easy enough to do.
Hi Dazvti. I had just had the same thought! Seriously considering this. I did this on an accord many years ago but the colour match shade wasn't perfect. But will keep an eye out for one online or local scrappy. I'm in Bham so quite a few around. I'd probably want to have a go at trying to repair myself just to see how it turns out but cost of materials may not be worth it over swapping.

I think the colour march should be ok. I've fitted quite a few different parts from multiple civics and the only noticeably different ones tend to be milano red. Your in a good spot for picking up a door. Quite a few on marketplace to.
Thanks. Will try checking out prices

Thanks all for replies. Some good options to consider there. I have looked at the drains holes and they seem to be clear. I'll check out with water running and see what's what
