I purchased type r door sill protectors for my Civic last December . After washing my car the other day the red r symbol has completely flaked away after drying with a microfibre towel. This has occured on both sides. They are are only on the car for a period of 6-7 months. Any help would be appreciated

Seems like there are two options, both of which are pretty much no-brainers.
A. Contact the vendor.
B. Paint them red yourself.

There's also a C.

C. Don't buy cheap of eBay.

Apologies if you didn't. If they are OEM I'd take them back to Honda.
