Hi,

Been looking for Double Din Stereos, for a 59 plate civic type s.

Ive got a few i have found, and i was hoping for some experience to help me out on deciding a good one that will work in my car.

I would also like a fascia, ive searched and found a website a few of you mentioned holdcroft was it? does anyone have the exact webpage for that?

I don't think you will be able to get either of them I'm afraid. You need the patch lead from impulse and there are different ones for different makes and they only do the big brands eg pioneer, alpine, kenwood and Sony to name a few

ahh, okay, can i get any double din stereo, and just buy the patch lead, aslong as its a big brand name?

You should be able to as long as its a brand name. Before you buy one send impulse an email just to make sure

Is impulse the cheapest? Will I need everything they give you? Why is a fascia and lead so expensive?

You need the whole kit. The reason the fascia is really expensive is because its a Honda part and as far as I'm aware impulse are the only ones who make the lead that lets all the oem equipment work so they can pretty much charge what they like

Mate, get a model Impulse recommend or supply the patch lead for.

I just went through the pain of getting two patch leads for a JVC and none of them working.

I subsequently sold the JVC and gave up after taking the car apart 3 times to fit it.

I still have the facia incase I decide to go at it again with another model.
