Hi everyone

First post for me. 2013 civic 1.6 diesel. Has had the pgm-fi warning for a while and then the dpf warning light came on.

Tried putting a cleaner into the fuel . No joy. Tried running for long distance and no joy, the fuel economy hasn't been affected.

I had the car serviced in December and they did an oil change, now the oil is black and is quite low.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Probably worth getting the fault codes scanned. You may have to get a forced regen or it might be better to have the dpf removed and then professionally cleaned.

Thanks for replying, I've booked in at Honda as my local chap initially looked at the pgmfi code and said it was glow plugs, probably is still for that

Any idea roughly what having it removed and cleaned costs

I did toy with the idea of removing the dpf and having it mapped out but someone else on here failed their emissions test when getting their mot so that has put me off doing that.

Id say the first code has had its part to play in dpf code

Running the car with a fueling issue has probably had some part to play in dpf either miss fueling or not allowing needed regens
