Hi-ya! Well what alot of fun our new (well the newest car my wife and I have owned) is. Were lucky to pick up a face-lift 09 plate for 2K under list price from our local Western Honda in Edinburgh. They turn them over pretty fast there. Missed a couple already and was there looking at pre-FL 09 SE with leather seats after I fell in love with the feel of leather on another test drive. (Was that too much information?olice but it had sold already.
Was led over to a Milano with face lift and was surprised to see that the cloth interior looked pretty good with the grey stitch similar to the leather, and I preferred the new look too, with the little vents breaking up the acres of full-frontal perspex. And the drab grey skirt and valences now have polished steel metallic grey gloss to them, nice.
Too, the rather toyish looking silver trim is now toned down to a more mature darker look and the dash had the Type-R no-glare look.
After taking it for a good spin it was the best drive out of all the Type S and EXs we'd tried. No bone shaking road roaring distractions which had put us off all the others.
When we called to buy the next day, it was out on test drive. Not wanting to pull the rug out from someone else's feet we waited. Our sales guy said that the couple couldn't make up their mind, so we did it for them. Apparently, we did the other guy's wife a favour as she hated the diesel and wanted the petrol 1.8 anyway, he wanted the diesel, sorry mate.
Anyway back to the fun. This forum has got my creative juices flowing for cars again. That stopped some 20 odd years ago when someone torched my full rally spec '63 plate Mini Cooper Mk I. Looks like I've now made a full recovery.
Having looked around the forum there a few mods to consider. Have made a few small changes already but here are some pics as we picked it up (Just in case y'all haven't seen one in the wild ).
See you around.
