Hi,

I've been wondering, I'm driving in the EU soon and everyone, everywhere and every site tells me that I need the beam deflectors installed before entering France.
The manual says: "All Models - The headlights are suitable for left hand drive and right hand drive, without the need to make any adjustments or masking, as per UN-ECE R48 Dover Regulation." on p. 179.

Just curious if anyone can confirm this is true?

Hope you're ready for brexit! :p

True - I drove sans deflectors in Europe. Didn't have any issues, just took the precaution of dipping the lights by an extra point.

Only flashed once when I was in the black forest and had someone approaching from a lefthand downhill, so relatively issue free.

Yeah - ready for brexit... IDP, green card and couple of other bits of nonsense...

Cool - I have the stickers so if I get flashed at I'll just stick'em on.

Departing in 3 hours hehe

Curious to see what kind of MPG I can squeeze out the car. Currently averaging 51 - 55, not very good...
Should be fine until I reach the autobahn

Think yourself lucky your in car rather than bike
You need reflectors at various points including side of helmet
