I notice that my Honda civic 2006 cooling fan does not switch on when ect2 sensor is connected ( i.e when both ECT1 and ECT2 are connected) and engine temperature reaches 96oC (using OBII scanner) but switches on at 96oC when ECT2 sensor connector/plug is removed. what could be the reason/cause? I have experimented this on different occasions and noticed even at 98oC - 100oC, the colling fain doesn't switch on when ECT2 sensor is connected. I have replaced the ECT2 sensor with OEM but the issue still persists.
Anyone with clue about how i can resolve this issue should come to my aid. I have run out of solutions.
