Has anyone had Elite Stage 2 EGR OFF while running the OEM standard clutch?
These maps sound awesome and I really want one now I've done some reading up on them.

I know it will go eventually but don't really wanna change it till after spring when I will get a CG clutch.

I could go for the stage 1 map which will be more clutch friendly for now but I do really like the stage 2, my civ has 50k mile on the clock and the clutch has held so far with no slipping what so ever, just thought it may take the stage 2 for a while before she dies.

I've done a few mate, in fact two last week. As long as you're of the mindset that you'll need to change your clutch anyway at some point for a CG jobbie, then just go with it. You can control the power to try and preserve the clutch (as long as you can discipline yourself). I ran the Stage 2 EGR OFF on my Accord (stock clutch not even the revised 325) for the last 6 months before I sold it, and had zero issues.

You sold your Accord?!

To the OP, I've had my stage 1 map since April on my OEM clutch, and it's still absolutely fine. Considering a stage 2 EGR delete very soon...

Is this your original clutch, what was your mileage?
If you don't mind me asking...
Well the car is 56 reg & I've only had it since April so can't say for definite if it's the original clutch but the cars done 60k miles.

Cheers F6HAD - tbh it only slips if you give it some so I think I can make it last until after xmas. The intercooler seems fine although I'm still paranoid that I've got a leak. I've checked the joints for oil but they all seem dry. I've tried to record the noise so people can comment if it sounds normal but you can't really hear it when recorded on a mobile phone etc. Any other suggestions for leak testing? - would sticking it on a dyno be worthwhile? (apologies for thread hijacking). Btw - glad to see the money from my remap went towards something so tidy ;)

It's probably just how it sounds mate ;) Car is a company car, trust me I'd put £35k into something like my mortgage if I had that sort of money lying about! Added a few choice mods like the HD multimedia satnav, xenons, ambient lighting, DAB radio and sports steering to it. Only done 400 miles so far so not even run in, but I'm absolutely loving every minute of it. Can't get over just how silky smooth it is to drive, and the sports button just sharpens everything up, engine, suspension and steering..

Sure give me a shout after xmas mate, we can upgrade you to stage 2.

According my dealer the Accord and Civic clutch are different, Civic is self adjusting and dual mass unlike the Accord.

Btw I love your BMW 5 series! dreamcar for me :)
