Bought my Honda Civic 1.8 Type S 58 plate over 4 months ago. I've driven it to about 3k miles now. Everything seems fine until the christmas break.
There seems to be a rattling sound coming from the engine. If I rev it up, the rattling seems to go. I can only hear it when the car is not moving. Also, I'm pretty sure the engine were a lot quieter when I bought it.
I'm planning to bring it to the dealers to have it checked. The car comes with a 2-year warranty, so hoping to make use of it.
Just wanted to get some advice if this rattling sound is part of normal wear and tear, or if it is a sign of a bigger problem with the car. Anyone else have been in a similar situation? When should I expect the car engine to make more noise?
