Just a quick question
would one of these destroy a FN2 in a straight line drag or would it be close?

It could well be, but I saw one on autotrader for £27k producing 227bhp quoting 5.7s so thought that was normal. Funny how it is considered iconic which it is. Because the interior is drab. Mind you the whale tail spoiler was mahoosive. That's nostalgia.....Thought the escort cossie was 6.4
Ta for the confirmation. The steering wheel and dash still looks like an escort van though!!!Yup 5.7 and 6.1 for the heavier lux
The only proper Cossie was the Sierra 500 Cosworth....It could well be, but I saw one on autotrader for £27k producing 227bhp quoting 5.7s so thought that was normal. Very wrong but if you want to learn the Ford and Cosworth history, it is out there. The only proper Cossie was the Sierra 500 Cosworth....
Those are 2 of my 3 favourite examples of RS. A mk2 escort RS2000 custom completes the holy trinity for me.cool always stays cool, Mk1 Escort RS to the Mk2 Focus RS IMO.
It's getting on a bit now, I had an fn2 and now drive the modern era RS and it does indeed destroy it loli thought they would destroy a FN2
quite surprised it kept up
