Hi all

Ok im picking up our Honda Civic EX (06 plate) on wednesday and want to know does the bluetooth support playing mp3's from an Iphone?

If not what in your opinion is the best option?

1)Xcarlink
2)Dension
3)Honda USB cable?

any advice would be much appreciated

No it does not support Bluetooth steaming and the Denison, xcarlink or connects2 are fine because you can plug in a 3.5 jack or iPhone. The xcarlink supports USB too.

Don't bother with the Honda cable... It's pants and over priced

Ok cheers Bog - A few questions....
1) Is the Xcarlink easy to install on an EX model?
2) what tools would I need to do it?
3) where is the cheapest place to get it from?
4) do i need the "Y" cable (I have 06 plate Civic EX)
5) can I get the USB version and use a usb cable to connect to my Ipod or Iphone?
6) where is the best place to put the connection box?

Ive got the xcarlink mate, fairly easy, there is a dash removal thread somewhere, infact several.

tools: just a phillips and flat blade screwdriver, maybe a 10mm spanner if your phillips is to small and a spatular or something similar. its all on the dash removal threads

Yes and if you have a cd changer it will replace it. You can get a connects2 interface with the y cable for £30 from eBay it won't control your iPod but it will give you a good aux-in connection. You will need the CTVHOX002. I'm waiting for mine to arrive.
