I ask this because I loved the sound of my standard 350z exhaust and wondered anyway of getting it for my ctr? Whether could cannibalise an old back box?

the engines do play the main factor in the note.
put a subaru exhaust on a civic and it will still sound like a civic just louder or quieter

engines and also the way the exhaust is designed like the subarus all have un-even headers/manifolds which give it that one off burble sound that only subarus have.

Yes thats true the engine plays its part but when the scooby guys put on even manifolds they loss a good bit of that burble sound track.
