Morning all.

Not sure if its a fault or I have just not noticed it but am sure it never did this.

My fan keeps kicking in after a few seconds if the car isn't moving. Only stays on for a few seconds. There is a click noise when it starts.

Its not overheating or anything.

Assuming the fan does this even when engine cold or just below normal opperating temps... could be a possible relay sticking or fan switch failing.

Just suggestions not trying to worrie you. But as paul_ EDY and greyfox said if the AC is on would also allow the fan to come on and the click noise is usually the compressor engaging.

Also not sure if this is on the civics etc but experience with most cars with AC units has x2 fans . Rad fan for drawing air through the fins to assist in cooling. And a fan on the ac rad to aid the cooling and condesation process

Symptom:
The radiator fan and the A/C condenser fan run at high speed with the ignition switch ON (II), the A/C off (if equipped), and the engine coolant temperature below 94.5 °C (202 °F)

Diagnostic:
Check for a short in the wire between under-hood fuse/relay box connector No. 3 terminal No. 4 and ECM connector No. 2 terminal No. 54.

Also:
Cleanliness and tightness of all connectors, inspect the front of the radiator and condenser for any debris blocking airflow
