Well ive been busy again with the car

this was up to a month ago

http://www.civinfo.com/forum/gallery/57621-my-evolving-type-s.html

In total up to last month id done the following in 12 months and spent way, way too much

Colour coded bumpers

Genuine type S Spoiler

Black letters on Type S logo on rear

Lowered 30 mm with Eibach Springs

19" Rages fitted

Type R Gear knob and Gaitor

Bc Turbo Groove Discs

Green Stuff Pads

Calipers coloured

Atomics DRL's (4's)

HID upgrade and side lights

Heko Wind Deflectors

Full Tyre R interior

and i thought thats it, ive spent way too much already

and then comes along...............a grill, which i was debating whether or not to get, and i finally succumbed and gave in

I purchased it from Johnny Rocket (top guy) and decided that i was complete in my what i wanted to achieve in upgrading my car

and whilst i was picking the grill up, he just happen to show me his AEM CAI which he was also selling, due to moving to Canada

I debated long and hard and the fact that it will probably give me better fuel consumption swayed me to buy it........................yeah right

it was listening to it in Jon's car that made me want it :)

So i popped down this week and swopped all my cheap tacky plastic for the stylish pipe

it took him an hour to fit it and well what can i say i love it

have a look:

I love the look of it, and the sound, which is quite subtle and low until you hit between 3000/3500 rpm and then it really kicks in (also stops the missus moaning about the noise of the car :) )

I have also found the car considerable more responsive whilst accelerating through the gears and over the course of 3 days worth of travelling, doing over 150 miles, my average mpg has gone from 44/45 up to 48 - always a winner in my book

well as ive said many times before - THAT'S IT - no more spending - i cant, she's gona kill me and its hard to hide things from her now as she has soooo sussed me out

Anyway im happy with the looks, the handling and the drivability

have a look, let me know what you think

and please don't suggest any more improvements ;-)

Thanks for looking

Ian

nice car... be carefull with the CAI... it can ruin your engine if it sucks up water... so be carefull when it's stormy/rainy weather and take it off in the winter. Cheers

Has anybody experienced a CAI sucking up water?

I know you can get covers for them, but I presumed as long as you don't go
Through loads of deep puddles then you should be fine

Any thoughts?
