The alarm sensors are in the centre of the roof at the front by the interior lights they look a bit like tiny speakers (thats the only way I can think to explain them) I found a picture on one of pottsy's how to's I think I have circled what I assume are the alarm sensors.

You are exactly right.
This is how the manual describes it.
I don´t have those and wasnt expect them or the function either.
Funny thing is the dealer was VERY sure about the car having these sensors as he had "himself verified this with Honda".
I will enquire further with him, mainly for the enjoyment of being right.

Oh and when will we see pictures of your new pride and joy, go and buy a digi cam you tight sod!

Current status:

- Read the brick and tried most the stuff too.
- Put the Civinfo sticker on
- Put the fog light covers on
- Done more driving.
- Realised that my blank DVDs are not "dual layer"
- Failed to disconnect seat belt beeper. New design? See post in that thread.
- Had no more issues with light sensor or rear view mirror.

I think you should complain but unfortunately I doubt it will help... In my deal I was quoted for Continental WinterViking 2 witch should be a quite decent tyres. The differences between winter tyres are just so enormous that I'd just refuse to run on unknown brand. I have not actually received them yet (as I have other thingies in back order and will get the tyres then - no use for them now ).

If they are tires used in central europe (germany etc) they are way off the specs needed here in nordic (they are legal of course but I'd not drive with them, have few friend with import cars from Germany with these and they are just s.. *oops* not good).

EDIT:
I'd also take a magazine to the dealer where there is a test of winter tyres showing that dayton is not in the list (or nowhere near top...).

Complained to the dealer yesterday regarding the tyres.
They were going to get back to me today with a solution.
Guess what? Heard nothing today.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt for a little while.

Adjusted one of the rubber knobs on the rear hatch today after closing issues.
It turned approx half a turn before it would turn no more.
The other one was screwed in as far as possible.
I think it closes better now.

Still struggling with the seatbelt beeper.

A turn on the white hex screws of the HIDs is next to try.
Havent bothered with trying the blue tooth.
Don´t want to be interupted and forced to talk to people while driving my Civic right now!

Had the first load capacity test today.
A pallet full of urgent box had been sent to the wrong office.
Flipped down the back seat, removed the parcel shelf and the whole pallet full of boxes fitted EASILY into the little Civic.
People didn´t believe their eyes!

Oh and had loads of nice comments about the design already...

Well good news.

I found that the original written offer included a specification of the winter alloys being from "Ace" and the tyres being "Pirelli". After presenting this to the dealer, they admitted it was a mistake and today they phoned and said the correct wheels were available to be picked up.

I´ll give them the benefit of the doubt and let myself think it was a mistake (as anyone can make) and not an attempt at a rip-off.

They also confirmed that I was right regarding the alarm system not having glass-smashing sensors in Sweden.

So, back to the dealer today to pick up the winter wheels of the type that were in the written offer (Ace alloys and Pirelli Carving) rather than the stuff the had put in my boot upon delivery of the car (some other wheel and Dayton tyres).

They were very impressed by my blue interior lighting.

But when I got home and took the wheels out of the plastic bags - one of the alloys had several deep scratches. Not only cosmetic but for sure damaging the protective layer that makes these alloys suitable for winter use. :-(

Talked to the dealer.
They asked me to bring in the damaged wheel and it will be replaced.
So I must say that they do solve the problems.

But it means another two trips to the dealer...

But at least I can have a further look at that new CTR in NHB that is now ON SALE!

Just to let you know that Dayton tyres are the third brand of Bridgestone, after Bridgestone and Firestone. They are decent, but obviously not a premium brand.

PS: you should charge mileage expenses to the garage for all the driving you're doing to rectify their mistakes!

Yes, I did manage to find out about them being Bridgestone tyres.

However, they are marketed as "cheap tyres for those who require something for everyday motoring".

Now although varying result are acheived in tests (depending on surface, car etc) even by major brands, the common factor of all winter tyre tests is that the major brands (Nokian, Michelin, Pirelli etc etc) always are much better than the "no name cheapo" tyres.

Did return the wheel today and they agreed it should be changed.

As for the mileage expenses, it is not like it hasn´t crossed my mind, but it is a relativly minor detour on my way home from work and they have been very co-operative and accepted all my claims straight off. And I will take any excuse to drive my Civic.....vroom vroom.. so if this is the last of it I won´t bother.

However, getting home today I experienced the self releasing hand brake. Scary fault that!

It is just too impractical.

Cleaned the car today... still don´t have a digi-cam though, so you will just have to take my word for it.

Works fine for incoming calls which is what I was planning on using it for.
Don´t usually need to call people while driving, if I do, I suppose it is the "redial" method for me too. Those voice controlled phone menus suck big time.
I gave up on saving numbers.

Installed (with help of some smaller hands!) those superwhite parking lights just the other day. Mine are on all the time due to DRL in Sweden.

Regardless of how well the actual paint protection works (remains to be seen and will be objectivly reported here), the car will get a good machine polish.

Also my MicroGo GPS snooper failed on Friday evening. :-(
Missing it already!
Lost its memory including serial number.
Have e-mail tech support, should have an answer on Monday.

Other small details is the removal of airbag sticker on windscreen and some discrete aluminium valve caps that match the alloys.

Been to pick up a new wheel for my winter set.
Now finally have all four winter wheels in undamaged condition!
Took a while but the dealer did sort it out.

Also experienced the not-unlocking problem today after refueling. The car was very wet due to rain, and it was at a petrol station.
After about 6-7 tries it unlocked.

Airbag warning sticker on windshield removed (but not on sun-visor).

Still enjoying the car (spaceship) every day.
