I've litterally just bought my GP Kit for FN2 Type R & I'm hoping it will arrive in next few days.

Strangely I have rung around my local Honda dealers today, Rotherham, Sheffield & Barnsley non of which seemed to be able to quote me an actually price for fitting.

I'm aware I could possibly "DIY" using the guides on here but to be honest I don't fancy it so I'd rather pay the dealer to sort.

Has anyone had any experience of getting the GP kit fitted to a Type R. I.e Labour cost. Or shall I just take it to a local body shop etc.

Is that front & rear. I've heard you have to remove front & rear bumper to do it.

GP kit for £620 brand new from Cox Motor Group. Honda Dealer that recognises the their parts aren't cheap so discount them to promote more sales.

Ordered yesterday after 5:00pm and had confirmation that it was dispatched at 12 today by courier on next day.

I've decided to tackle the fitting myself at the workend. Various how too threads helped me really understand what I need to do in order to fit. Think the rear will be more difficult but we will see.

If your buying the kit new from Honda there should be fitting instructions included.

Once the bumpers are off it's pretty easy to see what goes where.

The push in clips are the hard bit, getting them out without breaking.

Dead easy mate took me 3 hours to do both and that was with me just taking my time like I work for the Council.
You just need a 10mm socket a short Phillips and I used a grommet remover to take out the bumper clips but you can just use a small flatblade.

Sensors are in the bumper, not the splitter. You'll just have to be careful if the cables are short/tight and unclip them when you remove the bumper.

Just don't forget to plug both of your foglights back in when you rebuild the car.... that's the only mistake I made :p

This :)

It really is easy to do fella, the bumpers come off no problem and it's just a case of removing the original splitters and fitting the GP ones. The instructions you get are pretty thorough :)
