I don't have and screws or clips on my splash guard where the mug guards go. I lost them a long time ago while messing with the trims.

I don't know what screws/clips actually go there and I'd get funny looks if I messed with someone else's Civic.

if they are the genuine ones, you use the screws , poppers that are already fitted to the car.....

They are genuine ones, but the problem is - my Civic is an ex-Cat D total loss, so there is a number of little trim clips etc missing where it's been repaired cheaply before I bought it.

I've managed to buy some clips off Ebay for the rear ones, but the front ones I ready that you use self tapping screws?
If so - what size?

Don't waste your time

Don't bother fitting them unless you like the sound of them scraping on the kerb!!!! I've just removed mine for this very reason, there just too low and too rigid. They will just break the clips holding the arches on. Very poor design, look nice enough though.
