Is there a way of accessing the back of the stereo without taking the dash apart? Car bought a month ago (08 model) and really REALLY dont want to be doing anything that drastic!

No other way to do it. As I said in the other thread, just follow the guide on here.....it really really is simple!

It is very very simple. I won't lie, it's daunting at first, but be firm and patient with the pop-off bits and you'll be fine!
It took me just over the hour to do it, but I reckon I could get that down to 40 minutes now I know what I'm doing!!

I did this on the weekend and it was an easy job following the guide on here. I also managed to plug in the xcarlink without removing the actual stereo. If you look at the pictures you can see where the plug is, so just feel around and plug it straight in - lower right corner if you are looking straight at the stereo.
