Since seeing the thread about the Fly Eyes stuff I thought I would give it a go on the rear perspex window. It worked a treat, very easy to work with just need to take your time. It's not quite as good as proper tinting film but from a distance it definatley gives it a tinted look ;)

It's only on the lower Perspex section, which can't be properly tinted ...

A lot of folk seem to be doing it now (and it does look good) ...

Plus, it comes in a wide range of colours - I chose the body colour ...

A local place will be tinting my windows next week, on my 5 door civic, will they tint the bottom perspex window as well, or would it be worth purchasing the fly eyes kit and doing that section myself?

I'm thinking of going with red, to match the colour of the car.

this is what i have on mine and do on others, trying to use window film on plastic would be hard work and end up not looking to good, thats if you can get a tinter to shrink film on plastic.

Anyone know what size fly eyes kit is needed to cover the perspex window at the rear of the five door? Going to order mine in red :)
I bought 30cm x 150cm ...

That way, there is enough left over to do small details like the indicator lenses on the mirrors ...
