I recently got my clutch and flywheel changed by the local garage that I've used for a while, been reliable to date.

Since I got it changed the speedometer isn't working and the the gear box doesn't have a stopper when going past 6th gear As well as engine light and power steering light coming on.

The speedometer I have been told is not working due to a sensor on the gearbox but when this was changed it broke off, and does seem to stay there. Replaced a few now at different garages.

Gearbox I've been told when driving shouldby let me go past 5/6th gear to the right, it should have a stop sensor which doesn't allow you to push the gearstick anymore right, but this sensor doesn't seem to be working.

Anyone had these issues?

Took it back to the garage but he is saying its not in relation to the work he did, even though it all happened the morning after I got it back!

Seems a little coincidental as he will have removed the gearbox to replace flywheel, now things aren't working properly...

My speedo sensor went after having the gearbox oil changed. The garage hadn't touched the sensor as there is no need to and the mechanic is familiar with Civics so I had no reason to doubt him. I bought a used sensor for about £40 and been fine since. I had all the same issues as you and you'll also notice the power steering doesn't adjust with speed.

Been back a few times he keeps delaying it saying it's not this or that, and keeps telling me to come back, I took the car to a Honda specialist and paid him a fair but for checking it out and replacing the speed sensor but that also broke off and speedos not working again. This dude said you can't point to the actual issue but seems obvious something happened when the clutch was changed.

Anyways went back to the garage who told me I should have gone to a gearbox specialist so went to one he recommended who also said the original garage should be fixing it but said he has never come across the speed sensor repeatedly breaking off and said seems obvious it was the flywheel change that started the issues however it won't be easy or maybe even possible to prove this if the garage kicked off!

Life is still beautiful as I'm still breathing I guess! But still stuck!

There's a little spacer that sits between the sensor and gearbox. If that's not fitted the sensor sits too deep and will get damaged.

Yes on the until replacement the mechanic did think this may have been the case, so ensured on the second replacement this washer was put on, but still no luck!
