Hi guys,

how difficult is it to change the battery?

Just bought one from cox motor parts

Don't leave your keys in the ignition whilst swapping over the battery, else the key could loose it's immobilizer coding and gets expensive to fix.

The OEM radio has no code and the alarm will be fine.

You will loose your mpg calc's and radio presets.

You may need to run thru the window reset procedure, maybe.

Oh yes, when you disconnect the battery you won't be able to open the boot. So ensure no tools are left in there ;-)

the battery I got is a furukawa battery from cox motor parts, it's slightly different to my current one, are they just as good?

is it a case of removing the (-) then the (+) and undoing the battery clamp?

does it need any grease on the terminals?

Yeah disconnect earth lead (-) first..
Reconnect earth (-) lead last
I never bother with grease but up to you mate.
