Hey Guys, can you guys with the custom stainless exhausts please drop me some advice.

Going to be getting a new custom stainless made, car running with a few mods nothing crazy, running around 215-220 BHP.

Thinking of 2.5 inch which is good size for up to 250 BHP I'm told ?

Here's the thing, I'm only running the rear box only, (delete under the drivers seat), should I go single exit ? Or keep dual each side ?

The company informing me single exit better flow etc, little more power etc.

Am I wasting my money having a nice custom system made then having it dual exit ?

Does it look silly running with one triangle empty and is it no brainer getting the single exit ?

All the tegiwa, j's racing etc single exit , is this the best. Would I notice a little difference basically running a single instead of dual which apparently gets turbulence in back box ?

Please help !

Cheers guys

I went with a custom dual exit exhaust because I wanted a certain sound (deeper in my case, like old BMW 6 inline... E36) and also didn't want single exhaust because of a clean triangle and a dirty one :).

At the end a custom exhaust vs a brand one cost the same, have the same quality (in my case Kline Innovation make custom exhaust for Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and most important they are local) and gives you the ability to have the sound you want.

Thanks GUR, appreciate the info mate ! Steering towards the single exit though to get maximum flow And best increase / flow rate ! . If anyone can advise a good single please let me know , or should I get a custom single made better ? Cheers

Don't know how much more power you'll get from a single exit compared to a dual exit thinking that an exhaust gives you 5-7HP (especially that you're after 215-220HP)... only if you chase every single hp.
Though, it's your choice mate ;).

I heard from a few guys and also exhaust companies that the rear box , if made to still give dual exit can cause Turbulance in the rear box as they have to separate the feed so it goes to both outlets ! Hence if it's only feeding one outlet , the flow will be straight in and out and faster flowing ? This is what I have heard.

I wouldn't worry too much about a single exit ruining the look of your car - you can barely tell that mine has one. If I were you I'd get a Solid Fabrications 3in single like I did. They're a really well made exhaust. Loud though!

My driver triangle is shiny still whilst the other is black but I'm not overly fussed about looks tbh.

Single exit is best for flow but doubt you're talking much in bhp until you're getting into cams territory. If you're after best flow etc then a 3" is best hands down but very loud on the motorway (have a 3" SF too).

If you're aiming for sub 240 then a single or dual 2.5" is perfectly fine as mine and my mate's were very similar in power with similar mods barring the exhaust. I made 240 and he made 238, my mid range was again only 1-2lbft more.
