Can anyone please help with a big issue I have, I've managed unfortunately to cross thread the bolt and the internal captive nut in the C-Pillar fixing on the rear seat belt. Nightmare ! I was attempting to fit a brace , one side lined up a treat , and the other was off, thought I had it lined up but it was obviously still out, and its cross threaded bolt and captive nut, aaaaaaaaa ! Tried to re - cut the captive nut with a tap set , but to no avail, I honestly don't know what to do ? Can I replace the captive nut ? I'm thinking not as it will be in the shell ? Currently having a breakdown LOL ! Can anyone please help !

Crumbs, that doesn't sound good at all.

I suspect you will have to remove the plastic trim to inspect the fixing.

Worst case a local mechanic should be able to weld in a replacement.
