For all you type R owners out there, who can answer me some of these:

  1. If I purchase a GT Model without Sat Nav can I still fit a reverse camera, or would i require Sat-Nav in order for this to work
  2. Is the bluetooth good, and does it work well with most modern phones (Samsung Galaxy S2)
  3. Is the HID's and Ambient lighting in the face lift worth hanging off for (Model i have seen is a 58 plate without these). I seen someone on here sells retro kits.
That is it basically, if any member can help me out with the above.

Thanks all... Happy New Year !

Hi

1. What screen would you display the camera on if you didnt have sat nav?
2. I dont have it in mine but I never see any posts on here complaining about it
3. Aftermarket HID's are going to be a grey area with the law soon and possibly an MOT fail so depends how badly you want them, I would say the only change worth hanging on for is the LSD but thats either CW models or 10 plates

1. depends if you want a seperate screen. I've heard of aftermarket kits that supply a portable sat nav style screen. Otherwise you'd need a new head unit.

2.'Good' is subjective, i've never had any problems but am sure that there will be people on here bitching about its quality. tbh i've had more problems with the Galaxy itself rather than the phone kit.

3.Again, its a better quality light for sure, adds some weight but unless you are stripping the car bare, i'd not worry about that. As you've also said, aftermarket kits are available so not the end of the world.

Thanks everyone, have been told to hang on for an LSD model, but to be honest a dont think it merits the £2,000 extra cost to buy. Especially when there only £1,000 to buy and fit.
