After buying your new Civic did you get a courtesy call from the selling dealer and if so how long after the purchase?

No - but it's a company car, so guess that might mean I don't get one :(

Yes I did - about 5 days after the purchase, and I even got a further call from Honda Customer Services about a week ago, asking me if I was happy with the way I had been treated by the dealer!

All in all I was quite impressed, especially as my contretemps with the windscreen prompted a personal visit from a 'screen specialist from Swindon!!

No call from Honda, but the lease company did call me to enquire about the service I'd received (yep, another company car).

Unfortunately, my call from CS was before it had rained (no swimming pool in the boot at the time); before I realised that Honda had decided in their wisdom (stupidity?) not to provide a spare wheel; before I'd got to grips with the cause of the non-functioning HFT; and before I'd tried using the SatNav to look up POIs.

So instead of helping Honda to sort out the problems , I'm telling everyone who asks (and there have been many) about the corner cutting and build quality.

Excellent. That'll help your residuals!

Haven't had a call from anyone yet and I've had the car three weeks...

Looking forward to a call from Honda customer service though, as I'd like to point out a couple of things I'm not ecstatic about, namely how the dealer played the "keep them waiting" game when flogging me the car, and how easily the car seems to scratch both inside and out.

I collected my car on the 1st Sept and then went abroad on holiday on the 3rd, not sure if the dealership tried calling me on my mobile (didn't give them landline number), but when I turned my mobile back on I had a text message from the Customer Services Manager at the dealership with his name and contact details. So far have been very happy with service from my local dealership in Worcester. Highly recommended.

I have been very happy with the service from Honda. I previously had a MINI, again bought from new; I wouldn't say the MINI dealership were unfriendly, but the service from Honda tops MINI; when I collected the car I was given a bouquet of flowers and the dealer principal introduced himself to me and personally thanked me for the business. This was followed up by a letter from him again thanking me for my custom.

Sorry BG, but unless Honda gets its act together, the residuals will drop anyway as the trade realises that Honda is not as reliable as was the case. It's a great car, but with too many of the minor niggles that I could have got for less money with another Renault, Citroen or similar.

No contact at all from anyone, Honda or the dealership unless you count the confirmation of receipt of a letter of complaint from me to Honda CS

Had the car since June

Well I did get a courtesy call, very friendly, very helpful took about 5 minutes.

My Dealer told me beforehand that they would ring. He also told me, in order for him to get a pat on the shoulder from Honda, I should say that the Dealer was good, but very good. :?
