On the MY09 i read that along with the HIDS/headlight washers they have footwell lighting fitted. Is there a button to press, or do they only come on when the doors are open, or if the headlights are on etc, went to look at a 59 plate today but didnt notice any footwell lighting..

If I remember correctly from when I bought mine the so called footwell lighting is very dim. If you wait till dark turn the lights on and look under the glove box if they are fitted you will just about see them !

Simple, cheap and very effective solution is to buy a set from Rick on this forum.

So do you have to have the headlights on ? Or just turn the interior lights on ?

The oem honda ones come on with the side/headlights but with how bright they are i dont know why honda bothered

The footwell lights in the MY09 come on with the side lights, they are very dim but can be brightened with the dash light control. However, they can be made brighter by removing the blue cap or drilling a hole in it.

You just need to drill holes in the blue cap over the led and they give off a nice light, no need to waste any money on extra kits.

nb, if you want brighter the only way really is for the aftermarket ones that Rick sells, these are good value and very easy to fit.

the other plus side is my kit is easier to fit if you wire them to the oem led and that way you can dim them with the dash but like Paul says maybe try drilling them out first
