Well had a seized nsf caliper and repaired it today. Noticed pads are low n discs shot inside. Anyway what make are genuine front pads from honda (brembo ?).
Im currently looking at mtec grooved discs front and mintex/pagid/brembo pads.
The car is used on road only with the odd weekend blast.
Any feedback with reviews would be grately be appreciated.

As in brembo pads n discs?. Noticed euro dont lisc front discs online. I rang them today just enquring about ferodo ds2500 pads, which not sure these suitable for what i require. I drive 35 mile comute to work n the odd blast. However the summer is coming and hartside to penrith is on the cards.

Yes mate. Just had mine done, a tad pricey but well worth it in the long run. Perfect for everyday runs.

Heard good things about ds2500 but hardly go for spirited drives which would deem it pointless

I bought these; MTEC1028 GROOVED BRAKE DISCS and have had them on the front for 3 and a half years (~50k miles) and they look about ready to be replaced now. Not had any issues with them. I've put Ferodo DS2500 pads on about 14 months ago and they are the best pad I've ever used although these are also close to needing replacing now. I used pagids before these and they were ok and lasted a bit longer from memory.

is that the drivers side ?
if so you might want to swap discs around
when i got mine it was advised that the discs were fitted so the groove mooved the dirt and water towards the outside of the disc rather than towards the centre

Red hammerite smooth brush on mate. Honestly is dead easy and will take about 20 mins to prep and about 45 mins to give 2 coats of paint (each). Allow to dry overnight with wheels off and do rears the next weekend.
I did mine last year and is on my type r forum page. Wirebrush first and then clean with white spirit using an old cloth as better prep will mean the paint looks better.

Then apply old newspapers around the discs so it's fully covered. Paint as much as you can, the front and main side, dont worry about painting where the pistons are.

I've inc pic of what mine looked like

they are different other wise you would have 1 groove facing forward and 1 facing backwards which would give different braking on either side
some say they way you have them increases braking power
but the grooves are designed for cleaning and cooling and the article i read deffinatly stated grooved discs should be fitted in a way to moove and dirt/heat and water towards the outside
