I've just purchased another Civic Mk8 1.8 (2008) after my last Civic was written off after a small tap on the back.

Unfortunately the indicators at the front don't work, mirror indicators and rear indicators are fine though. Fast clicking is heard when indicating left and right.

The person I bought the car from mentioned the indicators stopped working when the battery went dead and they replaced the battery. I've checked the fuses and all seem good apart from fuse number 29 in the interior fuse box which is for Accessory. That's now been replaced.

I've checked the left indicator bulb (such a pain just to get to the indicator bulb!) but looked OK, although haven't tried replacing.

Likely unrelated but the boot brake light doesn't appear to work and the drivers side front speaker doesn't work either (tweeter is fine though).

What's the next logical step, replace with known good bulbs? Check power to bulb holder? If they're OK, what's next?

Appreciate your help with this!

s you are getting the fast click from the relay it sounds like dead bulbs, the cheapest option is replace the front bulbs, the Philips at £13.49 the pair are similar to what is likely in there from original

if you mean the long strip brake light in the tailgate that is an LED unit and most likely needs a new one, probably some on ebay.

I think your suggestion to test the power is a good one and as it's both sides check the earth

Massively late update one this but it was simply that both front indicator bulbs had blown. I didn't have a spare bulb and the first bulb I couldn't tell was blown but it was confirmed when checking continuity with a multimeter. The second bulb was obviously blown.
