Given i have loads of 501 leds lying around from my other cars i thought i would fit some to the front of the civic, however they dont fit. Well they fit but you cant get the plastic cover back on as the bulbs seem too wide to fit through the hole. And if you take the silver semi reflective part out the interior light sucks.

Does anybody have a link to some that will fit and look better than the standard bulbs ? The ones i have tried so far are the single 1w LED ones, and the 5x 5050smd ones.

I got some simlar to these from mr jp Car LED Light Bulbs T10 - 501 - W5W Indicator Number Plate Interior Map Light Si | eBay

I had to manover the plastic part over the bulbs.
Take the bulbs out of the car and see if they fit through the holes in the plastic cover.

Those are the ones i have, doesnt seem like they will fit over. Il give it another go and try and manover the plastic cover over them again.

Yeah they do fit fella.
Think how i did it was to put it on at an angle and get 1 bulb in one side and then manover the plastic onto the other one.

Bit of advice, one of mine kept going off (dodgy contacts) so turned them both on while i was fitting so knew they were working, instead of having to keep taking the plastic off.

Car looks awesome with a led interior lights. Really crisp and modern with front and back.

Well, i managed to get them to fit..but managed to drop two others down the side of the passenger seat been trying to get them out for over an hour, no chance.

Gonna have to find out how to remove the front seats. No way in hell can i get these bulbs out, can hardly see them. One thing I hate about this car is if you drop something down the aide side between the center console you can't get it out.

Done and done. Removed the front seat and found offending bulbs, they were stuck down the rail. I know for next time to just remove 4 bolts if i drop anything down the side.
