This is probably been asked already, but I cant find it whilst using Tapatalk.

I very rarely drive the wife's car, however I have noticed the brakes are "wooly" compared to my 3 Series, so I am looking at changing the pads all round. What would you recommend? I don't need any fast race gubbins just a decent set a pads that have more feeling.

The usual choices seem to be : EBC Greenstuff \ Yellowstuff or Ferodo DS 2500

But, you should also look at changing the flexible hoses to braided stainless steel and upgrading the brake fluid

Ok not as popular a question as hat brakes for a 2.2, but my 1.4 has now done 34,000 miles on the original pads and with winter fast approaching I'm going to replace them.

Now we have a 2.2 and a 1.4 and although they are fitted with the same pads, you can tell which of the 2 is the heavier car from how they both stop.

So what would people suggest I go for?
Mmmm ...

1.4 - EBC Greenstuff - better and cheaper than Honda parts - and produce a lot less dust ...

2.2 - Ferodo DS2500 or EBC Yellowstuff - and fit braided stainless steel hoses ...

The greenstuff pads also have a good life span.
Good point - I've still got lots of 'meat' on the rear EBC Greens that I fitted in 2009 ...

The front EBC Greens got changed earlier this year, as after some 20 hours (over 2 days) of max. speed European Motorway \ Autobahn time, they looked like semi-smoked ruins ! ...
