Has anybody had their fuel cap sprayed or painted to match their car?

Light sanding, plastic primer x 2 coats, topcoat x 2 (a local shop mixes spray cans to order), clearcoat x 2 ...

I just put a large area of cling film around \ behind the cap, so didn't even need to remove it ! ...

N.B. - thin coats !!! ...

I didn't do it myself. It was done when my seeker wing went in for painting at the body shop. Got them to colour code mud flaps and petrol cap at the same time.
I'd probably be the world worst painter! :)
