can someone please help me?! i have a 2008 type s gt and from friday the fuel gause has stopped working. i filled up with £10 and i realise that this wasnt a large amount but couldnt afford anymore at the time! the petrol light stayed on and it said 20miles left. thinking i had been ripped off i went back and they advised me to use another pump as the one i used was sometimes dodgy. so i did so and again drove off and the same thing again. i then went back and asked them to check the pumps and they both were working. i dont know what to do im down to 2miles according to the electronic reading is my car just going to die on me or will it still keep going as long as there's not some sort of blockage??
thanks for your patience and time reading this i dont have anyone to ask and im pretty useless as car stuff!

Thanks to Shaun

You need to put more in, when the gauge goes in the "red" the computer does not recognise you have put fuel in unless you put over £10 in. It did it to mine last week, put £20 in today & hey presto the tank shows nearly half full now ;)

Thanks for this info Shaun. This has just happened to me and hoping the fuel gauge needle pings back to life on the next refueling.
