The 111 year old GB mark often included on number plates is no longer allowed from 28th Sep.

If you are driving abroad then you will need either new number plates with "UK" or a separate UK sticker.

I'll stay with my ENG one with St George's flag thank you.
Won't be driving to johnny foreigner's land any time soon.

Wondered what the actual law was as they only sell plain numberplates these days.

Not that it matters to me either as I don't intend to ever drive my car(s) abroad...

Its GB EU Stars plates that are no longer allowed as we are no longer part of the EU. But no mention on the GOV.UK site about it being a UK badge, they are still saying GB.

This somes up the Torys incompitance in two sentences

The switch from GB to UK stickers comes just months after ministers unveiled a new GB number plate with a Union Flag.
But the switch to UK signifiers, while being inclusive of Northern Ireland, means drivers with the new GB plates will have to either change their plates, or affix an additional UK sticker to their cars from September.
